    What is the diference between sour and bitter?

Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days,anyone help us?

this came up in a discussion in a class today. we somehow got onto the subject of salt and we were asked how would we desribe the taste of salt without saying salty. some people said bitter and some peole said sour. but salt is neither in my opinio. so what is the diference between sour and bitter? is there a diference?

Answer:
Sour, salt and bitter are different tasts.

1-sour-sharp-tasting: having a tart or sharp taste that is acidic though not necessarily unpleasant, like the taste of vinegar, lemons, or unripe apples .

2-Bitter=strong and sharp in taste: having a sharp strong unpleasant taste, for example, like that of orange peel ..
difficult to accept: painful or very hard to accept



3-Salt=food white crystals used in food preparation: a substance, usually in the form of small white crystals, with a sharp tangy taste that is used to season or preserve food.
Salt consists mainly of sodium chloride and is abundant in sea water.
