i've heard that if it has seeds, it's a fruit. so is corn a fruit? vegetable? i also heard it was a grain???

Answer:
A vegetable can include more than just the seeds. Eg Roots Carrots and potatoes, stems: celery and asparagus, and seeds peas and etc.
A fruit would just be the seeds inside a (mostly) edible shell.

xxR
where they are grownn.. what type of plant that they are on.. most fruits have a harder skin.. as you can see.. ex. watermelon, apple, pear, orange
If people eat a plant it is a vegetable.

If people eat the reproductive part of the vegetable, it is a fruit.
If the seeds are inside, at the core, it's a fruit. Also fruits only grow on trees or vines. Fruit from plants or roots.
I think we could have WWIII over if a tomato is a fruit or a vegetable (and corn etc.)... it's just one of those things you talk about in a drunken stupor with your friends....

sorry- i dunno.
No, that is not true.
It is classed as a fruit or a vegetable, depending on where it is grown-vegetables are grown underground, eg carrots, potatoes, etc, and is dug up to be eaten. Fruit is grown above ground, on vines or trees, such as apples, and lemons.
