Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(What's the biggest lobster you've eaten, in pounds?),it will help you,my kids.
Answer:
3/4 of a pound, but the larger the lobster/shrimp, the more tough, less sweet and tender.
It would be better to eat four 1/4 pound, or 6 of 1/3 pound.
haven't ever ate one, and never will! i find fish gross. and lobster even worse!
I think 2 pounds. We order them from Maine.
So delicious. Also once at an eatery in NYC I had a huge one.
MMMM
i've eaten lobster for thanksgiving from maine on two occasions. OMG so good. the biggest one i've scarffed was probably less than 1.5 lbs. i don't like going to like red lobster or something like that cause all you get is the tail sometimes. yummmy.
Love lobster but prefer to eat two 1lders than a 2lb one
As a chef I have cooked my share, I worked for 2 companys that sold and cooked large lobsters, I also worked on the East Coast of Canada in my 20 yr chef career and cooked 300 for a banquet one time.
In 1985, I worked in Toronto Canada for an American Seafood retailer/wholesaler called Baystate Seafood out of Boston Mass, on the opening of our unit in the Knob Hill Farms outlet, we had an 11 lb lobster on display, we must of had at least 100 requests for it to be purchased, at $6.00 a lb and it takes 7 minutes per pound they would have had to cook it for almost 1 1/2 hours. And form my understanding and experience, it might have been a bit chewy.
The biggest I ate was a 4 pound one, I cooked it for a friend and his wife, did it chinese style with black beans, garlic, hot chilis and green onions, by cutting it up and braisng it it only took under 30 minutes, a normal one 1-2 lb should take about 15 minutes, if your adventurous and want to saute or do it on the grill, you have to cut it up, if your squimish, drop it into a pot of boiling water for 2 minutes, cool it in cold water then cut it into serving pieces.
Great Input David!

Yes David, excellent info. I'm glad you mentioned dropping in cold water, otherwise it will continue to cook on the plate.
Just returned from a scuba trip in the Keys. Lobster were every where. I could have taken 5-6 by hand. Next time I'll have a license.
2 lbs. Delicious!! Melted butter, lemons, the whole kit and kaboodle!!!! Bigger than that and I would prefer it stuffed with crabmeat and place in the oven.
i live in maine, but ive never actually eaten a lobsta
but one time i caught one!
