A really smart person a sandwich sounds good
We may never know. The person who invented sandwiches didn't put their name down(that i know of). It could have been anyone. A caveman could have put dandelions between leaves with grass. Its a good question.
The sandwich is often connected to the Earl of Sandwich, who favored the placement of meat between pices of bread because it allowed him to continue playing cards without getting his hands dirty.
