Why is it that when I eat sour candy my mouth hurts, it feels like there are little cuts inside my mouth. Is there anyway to help this. It goes away within a few days, but is there a way to help the healing process?

Answer:
I agree w/ Mike , The acid used to make the candy tart burns the taste buds leaving painful ulcers that go away in a few days.
I dont know a cure but the reason will be because the candy will be taking off your tastebuds(which is normal when you eat something rough)
Your mouth is sensative
to help the process use oral mouth jell from a local pharmacy or don't ear sour candy
Hope this helps!!
Its the acid that makes it sours. This acid also corrodes your mouth tissue, but just slightly
