Can I do anything with the liquid drained from my shredded zucchini!? I'm making zucchini pancakes, and draining the zucchini, and have about 1/2 cup of drained liquid!. Anything I can make from that!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers: Combine it wth a 1/2 cup melted butter and a 1/2 cup of powdered Kraft parm cheese!. Add a little pepper and a little basil!.
Cut a loaf of bread into 1" or so slices!. Now heat your skillet to high!. Apply butter mixture onto bread with a brush!. Coat each side and stick it in the hot skillet!. Fry until golden brown on each side!. Enjoy!
I use ths recipe in my restaurant but with different veggies!. Parm cheese is the key!. Never use grated, always use Kraft powdered!.
Edit - To the below poster - shredded or grated parmigiano-reggiano melts in the skillet!. Many of chefs use powdered parm on breads and many meats like chicken and pork (ie!. parm crusted)!. You cant use fresh because it will stick and burn!. The flavor and end result of pasturized / powdered parmigiano-reggiano far out performs fresh grated any day of the week (when doing parm crusted dishes)!. Give it a try!.!.!.!.!. and you will see for yourself!.
And about the failing thing!.!.!.!. keep an open mind my frend!. The kitchen is a labratory!. Use all at your disposal and create masterpieces from the most destitude of ingrediants!. That's how you become successful!. The unexpected is your best friend in this industry!Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can use it in a soup or a sauce or a salad dressing when water is needed in your recipe!.
Although 1/2 cup is not very much, the flavor and vitamins are still better than just plain water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Freeze it and use it in a home made spaghetti sauce, soup or add the the liquid if choice when making rice!.
Please share your recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Add it to your next vegetable stock!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
stick in the freezer and add it to soup next time you make it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
