Because every time the grandbairns go home, our sugar bowl is full of them. (lumps!)

Somebody is putting a wet spoon in the sugar? Terrible habit that, I used to be told off big time for that.

And no, it's not "posh" is just thoughtless, lol.

Depends on the sugar-lumps. While the industrial looking ones are decidedly "not-posh", there are some out there that are both posh in make-up and packaging (as well as "posh" in price).

The brand I'm most familiar with is Ala Perruche by Beghin Say. They come in both white and brown. I like that they dissolve easily.

I prefer a teaspoon of sugar.lol

Oh, my---what an entertaining question--LOL!

While I am neither a Brit nor do I sugar my tea, sugar lumps are a very tidy way to add sugar to a cup. My observation is that few people care enough about what they are doing to get a spoonful of sugar into their cup without spilling granules everywhere. And, yes---a wet sugar spoon is another reason.

yes, it's lovely! bring back tean pots, and afternoon tea!

what ever they fancy..

lol funny guy!

Absolutely not...what's 'posh' today is healthy thinking...that's what educated and cultural people do...either sweetner or no sugar...
