When this awful rain in NorCal is finished, I'd like to get outside and do some barbecueing.

Answers:
Barbequed Hamburgers

1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup uncooked rolled oats
2/3 cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoons minced onion
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
4 teaspoons granulated sugar
2/3 cup ketchup
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 tablespoons vegetable oil

In a medium bowl, mix the ground beef, oats, milk, 2 tablespoons minced onion, salt, and pepper. Let stand for a few minutes until milk is absorbed, and shape into 8 patties.
In a small bowl, thoroughly mix the Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, ketchup, and 1/4 cup chopped onion; set aside.
Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium heat, and fry the patties until brown on both sides. Pour the sauce in with the patties, and reduce heat. Continue cooking about 15 minutes.

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers

1 pound ground turkey
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup kalamata olives, pitted and sliced
2 teaspoons dried oregano
ground black pepper to taste

Preheat the grill for medium high heat.
In a large bowl, combine turkey, feta cheese, olives, oregano, and pepper. Mix together, and form into patties.
Lightly oil the grate. Place patties on the grill. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway through.

Other Answers:
throw in some fresh garlic and some worchestershire sause
Most people make them too thick.

If too thick, they do net get cooked all the way through.

I got food poisoning that way.
Don't use meat! Use meatLESS and go from there! You'll be amazed at the taste!
Beer Burgers

1 1/2 pounds ground chuck
3 Tablespoons beer - preferably Guinness, otherwise any beer available
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
salt
fresh ground pepper

Put all ingredients into a medium bowl and gently mix using two forks. Lightly shape into 4 hamburger patties. Grill on the barbecue or fry in pan on the stove. Serve on hamburger buns with condiments of your choice.

These are also excellent if made one day ahead and refrigerated until grilling time.
I like to add dehydrated minced onions (you can get them in the spices section at the store), some garlic, plenty of black pepper, a little bit of hot chili flakes, and a bit of worcestshire. And it seems like they taste better if you mix everything and make the patties, then let them sit in the fridge for an hour or so before you cook them. I made some like that earlier this week, they were delicious.
Fresh ground chuck, McCormick`s hamburger or steak seasoning, worsteschire sauce. Also add seasoning while cooking. Make patties about half inch thick. Chuck has less fat but more juicy than than lean hamburg.
I like to make ranch burgers

Mix the hamburger meat with one egg and a packet of ranch dressing mix.

Sometimes I just mix Lipton onion soup mix, an egg and some BBQ sauce together. If you like them thick, remember to poke your finger in the middle of it, that helps to keep it from shrinking to much and helps to thoroughly cook the meat.
the secret to a good hamburger is the meat-whichever recipe you choose make sure you go to a local butcher and buy fresh coarse ground chuck-enjoy
hamburg and onion soup mix or even ranch dip mix combined
Use a mixture of ground beef, pork and veal. The taste is fantastic!
