Ingredients:
4 c Flour
3 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Salt
3/4 c Sugar
4 Eggs (can use egg
-substitute)
1/4 c Orange juice
2/3 c Cooking oil
1 Lemon or orange; grated rind

Instructions:

1 cn Solo brand poppyseed
1 Egg
1 tb Lemon juice
1 ts Honey
1/4 c Finely chopped nuts

Sift the dry ingredients into a bowl. Add the eggs, oil, juice, and rind
and stir well. Knead dough lightly until smooth. Roll dough to 1/8"
thickness and cut into 3-1/2" rounds. Put a heaping teaspoon of filling
(mohn/poppyseed, prune or jam) in the center of each round. Fold edges
inward and pinch at the corners /_\ to form a triangle (sorry, it's the

The Best Ever Cherry Hamentashen
3/4 cup margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon grated lemons, rind of (I often just use a squirt of lemon juice)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 drop water
1 can cherry pie filling
sugar, for sprinkling
2 1/4 cups flour

2-3 dozen Change size or US/metric
Change to: dozen US Metric

1 hour 15 minutes 1 hr prep
Cream margarine in mixer bowl.
Add sugar and beat till fluffy.
Beat in egg, lemon peel, and vanilla.
Add in flour and salt.
Beat in water a few drops at a time until dough starts to come away from sides of bowl.
Place dough in a 2 quart size bag and form into a flat disk.
Refrigerate for a minumum of 2-3 hours and maximum of 2-3 days.
Roll out dough flat about an 1/8 inch thinkness on a lightly floured surface.
Using a round cookie cutter or the top of a cup, cut out circles.
Spoon 2 cherries and a little bit of filling onto the dough circles.
To fold into the shape of a hamentashen (a triangle) use both thumbs and the two first fingers on each hand.
Slide two fingers from left hand under left side and two fingers from right hand under right side and two thumbs under the bottom of circle.
Bring all fingers (with dough) together to form a triangle and try to pinch close.
Repeat this process with remaining circles and dough.
Place on a cookie sheet lined with baking paper.
Sprinkle a small amount of sugar on top of each one.
Bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes or just starting to brown.

My family are HUGE hamantashen fans here are the recipies that we have:

ingreadients:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon slat
jelly or jam or chocolate chips!!!

steps:
1. cream the butter and gradually add the sugar. beat the mixture until fluffy. add egg, milk and vanilla and beat well.
2. sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. add to the mixture.
3. stir to make a soft dough. chill in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
4.sprinkle a board lightly with flour. roll the dough out on the board until it is about 1/8 inch thick. dip a wide-mouthed jar or glass into flour and press it intto dough to cut circles
5. spoon some filling in the center of each circle. bring 3 sides ofthe circle together to form a triangle leaving about 1/3 open. pinch the edges toghether to make a seam.
6. arange well apart on an ungreased baking sheet. bake in a hot oven 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. makes about 36 hamantashen.


NEXT (AND LAST I DIDNT REALIZE WE HAD ONLY 2) RECIPE

Ingredeants:
2 eggs
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsps baking powder
1/4 milk or orange juice
2 cups flour or as needed
jam, jelly or chocolate fillings

Mix all the ingredients together. Roll it out on a floured board and cut out circles witha cup. Fill the center of each circle with different fillings and pinch the corners to make a triangle. Put on a ookie sheet and bake them at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
