As a chef, most of us have our particular "secrets" that make a dish uniquely personalised. Something that others don't know so as to not be copied or stolen.

Melted Plastic - When I was a kid I made a birthday cake for my dad. The icing had to be cooked in a pan first and I used a plastic spoon to stir it and yup, it melted right into the frosting! I decided not to tell anyone because I was too short on ingredients to start over. It kind of had a metallicy color, but didn't taste too bad :) My arteries probably have a plastic coating to this day. pepperoni to spaghetti sauce

I have but it is normally a secret.

Sorry

no! smoking meat or fish with irish peat moss

well i guess i add vanilla flavoring and cinnamon to plain pancakes without telling anyone...

What was it? It was *secret*!

Are they really "secrets" if more than a few people do them?
If so than I have a few of them:

Adobe sauce to marinara sauce.

Worchestire sauce to canned bake beans

fruit yogurt to pancake batter
