I know frying is bad, but it is so yummy! I've tried vegetable oil and olive oil and both are good. Someone in the house can't have peanut oil.

I know nothing about good and bad fat, etc. and was wondering what the best thing to put in a deep fryer.

We fry potatoes, frozen appetizers, chicken, and homeade chimichangas.

Answers:
Peanut oil would be the best in my opinion, but since that is out for you I would recommend Virgin Olive Oil, it cost more though. When using a deep fryer you also want to be sure to keep your oil fresh, changing often and keeping unused oil in covered container in the frig.

Other Answers:
olive oil is pretty healthy

Try cannola oil. I think it's cheaper than olive oil. Shop Natural's Canola Oil, Refined, Organic.
You asked for the Healthiest, this is it.

Safflower oil is healthier like peanut oil, about the same price as peanut oil and less allergenic.
I learned this in a nutrition class freshman year of college. sunflower, safflower....or ust go to the store and pick up some oil and read the back of it. I heard that there is a new oil on the market that is so much healthier for you. Just do what I do, read the labels!
