Can someone please give me easy recipes or point out a website to help me learn to cook. I am 22 and engaged and want to start cooking for my man!!!

Answers:
kraft is a great place to start cooking. they have a whole section of recipes that are quick and easy. they also have lots of instructional videos. that's where i learned to cook, and i'm a great cook now.

Other Answers:
look up recipes on the web..there is a whole bunch. Watch the food network.

Yes, I agree with the above; Kraft. Many of the recipes are like 5-10 minutes to get ready and 30-60 minutes to cook. Then as you learn you may find a few Cook Books to keep around just for Nostalgia. May I recommend "Now youre Cooking!" by Elaine Corn

all easy to follow recipes and tips for newbies!

Good luck and have fun! :)

hey don't panic go to foodnetwork.com and go to the part where you can pick out all of the t.v. shows and click on Semi-Homeade with Sandra Lee. she is amazing and has very simple recipes to help a beginner cook. Here's an excellent site. There's food preparation techniques, and some really good recipes too.

Get him to take you out to eat! there is alot of great websites for recipes,,

www.kraftfoods.com
bettycrocker.com
foodnetwork.com
cooksrecipes.com
ichef.com
allrecipes.com

you can make your own recipe box on these sites,, they are easy to use and understand,, you can go to the library and check out recipe books/magazines,, my favorite cooking magazine is "taste of Home",,,, ask your mom or friends for some recipes that are simple to start with,, my mom made me a recipe book when i got married (years ago),, and i still use it,,, have a recipe exchange party with your friends and even their moms!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!,, TRIAL AND ERROR IS WHAT COOKING IS ALL ABOUT!!!,,, my friend made a coffee cake once and the recipe called for 1 cup coffee, so she put one cup in mixture,, cake was terrible,, turns out she should have used brewed coffee not the grinds!!! we still laugh about that one!!!!

Just follow the recipe and don't divert unless you have a pro at hand! Take a cooking class. Call up your local recs department and ask them for a schedule. If they don't have it, Google, or look up cooking classes in your area. They are usually very fun, and have only a nominal fee. You can also usually find specific courses, such as baking, or Italian, etc.

If you have a TV, check out some of the cooking shows. On cable/satellite there's the food channel and Rachel Ray has a great 30 minute recipe show. PBS has cooking shows on the weekends as well.

When you go to the supermarket, the butcher and the produce section has free recipes all over the store. Grab those, and also if you get soups like campbells, they have easy recipes on the labels.

Here is one easy recipes that I first made when I got married.

Chicken, Potatoes and Veggies:
1 lb raw, fresh, boneless, chicken breasts, cut it up into slices or bite size pieces.
In a bowl, crack open an egg, 1 tbsp of flour, and add 1/4 cup of water. Mix well.
Coat the chicken with an egg/water mixture, roll in bread crumbs and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet for 30-35 minutes at 325 degrees.

If you're real lazy, get some shake n bake type coating, and coat the fresh chicken with that mixture instead. Tastes just as good.

While the chicken is baking, make some fresh mashed potatoes.
If you have a microwave its super easy.
In a microwave safe bowl, add 2 potatoes, washed and cut. Peel if you wish. Poke a few holes in it with a fork.
Fill the bowl with water, put in microwave, cover with saran wrap or waxed paper, microwave on high for 8 minutes.

If you don't have a microwave, boil the potatoes for 40 minutes or until they're tender (poke with fork, and if it slides in easily, its done)

When the potatoes are done (again, fork should slide easily into it), carefully drain the water. Mash or If you do not have a potato masher, use the fork and break the potatoes down until you can mash it. Add a good splash of milk, a gob of butter and a dash of salt. Mix well. For creamier potatoes, add more milk... but not too much milk or it'll turn mushy. Let the potatoes sit 5 minutes before serving. For more flavor you can add garlic, pepper, or even fresh herbs like basil or oregano.

Then for veggies, you can serve fresh veggies (ie: corn on the cob, carrots) or frozen or canned.. whichever you prefer.
