Answers:
Your local butcher can thin slice the meat for you. call and check to see if you aren't sure who will do it.Check with the store where you bought the meat first, they should cut it for you when the meat is bought. Anytime you don't want to cut your own meat or want it pre-cut just ask the butcher in the store where you purchase your meats.

Other Answers:
ask the butcher to slice it?

dito That's what a butcher is for. If you ask nicely they will slice it thinly for you.

Many butchers at your local supermarkets used to do this for a small fee, but many now can't because of stricter health policies. Call ahead before you go. You're likely to have better luck at a smaller local butcher, if you have one in your community.

WHen you buy it you can get it deli sliced in the meat section in the store for free.

It is not difficult. You do need some basic tools. Ideally you will need a lean cut of pork- a whole tenderloin would be great. Next you must have a sharp knife. If you do not have a good kitchen knife, buy one. It is without question one of the most essential items in any kitchen. Place the tenderloin on a cutting board. Slice-don't squash. If you have to use much downward force your knife is too dull.
Generally, thinly sliced means </= 1/4 inch. As a rule the thinner you slice the faster it cooks and if you are not careful-overcooks. Hope that helps.

Former chef and restauranteur- pork a personal favorite and specialty. You could come to Japan!

We can get REALLY thinly sliced raw pork here! Beef too...! (Even lamb occasionally!)

OR you could ask your butcher.......! Tell him how thinly you want it sliced, maybe tell him that you want it sliced as thinly as ham.
