You need the pork belly. It needs to be cured w/ salt, THEN smoked. That can take a couple months. Then chilled, then sliced super thin. It's cheaper to buy it.

First you need to buy a pig. Then, raise it. Then, kill it. then, cut it up. Then, take the belly portion and smoke it. Then, slice it thin. Then, fry it in a skillet to desired doneness. VOILA! home made!
