You have to make the cake in a large pan and cut it in the shape you want then do the details with different colored icing. try ebay? at four is he really going to be able to tell the difference between one sporty car cake and a corvette cake?

This recipe could be adapted to look like a corvette. Have fun!

http://www.amazingcakes.net/novelty.html If you can find a picture of one that you like, take it to your local major grocery store that has an instore bakery. They probably have a computer program that will scan the picture and print it on on a special edible transfer that you lay on the cake. Then you can decorate with a couple of matchbox cars and do the writing/candles. At four, he won't care about the difference between a moulded cake and a transfer. He'll just care that it's a Corvette and he gets the toy.
