Answers:
For the kids, I make it with velveeta. For me, I use cheddar and swiss.

First I toast the bread, then put the cheese on it and put it in a pan in the toaster oven and hit toast again. I find that works great. Some people use frying pans, some use irons, others blow torches, and of course the Salton grill cheese sandwich maker (kinda like the george forman grill).

Other Answers:
put mayonaisa one side of the bread and put your cheese in between and let it cook

u put cheese on bread and put it on a grill with cheese and bread, butter the bread on one side put the cheese in the middle and cook it on a stove.......Can't believe I actually answered this

Put cheese on bread and toast it on the grill.
DUH.

Take two slices of bread. Cut a slice of Kraft, dark yellow cheese, put it between the two slices and nuke it for a few seconds until the cheese has molten and is dripping from the sides. Bon appetite with bread & cheese & butter and a grill

2 slices white bread
butter both slices

put slice butter side down in hot pan, add cheese, put other slice bread and flip. Now you can squish it with your spatula and it won't stick to the bread cause the butter is melted

squish flat and cook til toasted on both sides

Voila! perfect grilled cheese!

Place your cheese between the two slices of bread, spread a little butter on both sides and grill it, I use my sandwich maker two slices of bread, one slice of cheese. butter one side of bread place in a heated frying pan butter other side of bread. after about 5 minutes flip over and grill other side.

put cheese between 2 slices of bread, butter the outsides, cook in skillet and flip so both sides get golden brown

spray the pan with nonstick....butter one side of bread, face it down. Pile on cheese. Butter another side of bread, face it up. On med heat let it cook about 3 mins. turn over for another 3 mins. keep turning over till its the texture you like. Enjoy!

Get two pieces of bread and put butter on the outside of the sandwich with cheese in the middle. Heat the stove to high and place the sandwich on there. Be careful, it'll cook quick. Flip it over and cook the other side. Take it out of the pan. Turn the stove off. Eat. wow you dont know how to make a classic, well all you need is two pieces of bread, cheese, skillet and butter, butter both pieces of bread then put on of the pieces butter side down in the skillet, then put how many pieces of cheese on top of the bread and put the other piece of butter bread on top, butter side up, let the buttered side cook for a few minutes then usin a square spatuala flip the whole sandwich and let it go on the other side and there ya have it, simple as pie

I make mine with rye bread, american cheese, and bacon. YUM!

MMMMMM, Sounds good think i'll make one. thanks for the idea. and the 2 points

If you're really a "hott vegas chic" have someone do it for you. Otherwise, make some toast then put a piece of cheese on a skillet. Let it begin to melt, flip it over and then lay a slice of bread on top of it to pick it up.
Yeah the cheese could get messy, but that's the fun of it.

Easy...take two pieces of bread (doesn't matter white, or wheat or Rye and place cheese between them... Put butter or margarine on the outside and place in a skillet. Then one side is brown, turn it over until the other side is brown and There you have it ....Grilled cheese... I like mine with a slice of tomato inside.... Yes, it may sound silly to many, but there is actually a science to it. I use a toaster over. First, I toast the bread alone, on light (or you can bake if your over does not toast). Then, I put the cheese on one slice, and bake both slices next to each other. Then, and last, I put the one slice that had no cheese over the other, turn the sandwich around so now the cheese will stick to both sides, and either toast on light again or bake.

*You butter your bread slices on one side.
*Place the butter side down in the skillet.
*Using a low to medium setting for heat source.
*Place your cheese on top of the bread while it is in the skillet and it will melt.
*Place the other piece of bread, butter side up on top of the cheese.
*With a spatula, turn the sandwich over so that the other buttered side is now being cooked.
*You may need to flip flop it a few times, to get the desired "doneness".
*Using the medium to low heat source is better b/c otherwise your sandwich burns right away. This way YOU are controlling how done it is and by turning it over with the spatula.

GOD LUCK! Hope this "recipe" works for you!!!

Make a cheese sandwich and cook both sides in bacon grease. You will need two slices of bread (I like using white bread most), two slices of cheese (American works best I think), a small skillet, and a plastic spatula. Put the skillet on a burner and put the fire up about halfway. Put one slice of buttered bread DOWN on the skillet and then put the two slices of cheese on it. Then put the other buttered bread slice with the butter side UP on top of the cheese slices. Your sandwich is done when the cheese is melted and both bread slices are brown and crisp. Try your best to let the bread get black.

Get some bread, butter one side of two pieces and lay them out on the ironing board. Set your iron on permanent press (no steam, it makes the sandwich soggy) Apply the iron to the buttered side until it starts to turn golden then stick two pieces of American cheese (Use real American cheese, not that pasteurized process cheese food crap) on the un-buttered side, put the sandwich together and alternately apply the iron to both sides of the sandwich until the cheese is good and melty. I love a good grilled cheese, especially with a steamy bowl of tomato soup... Yummm.

I learned how to do this BEFORE I saw the movie "Benny and June"

Get out the country crock spread. Get out a loaf of bread. Get out a slice of cheese. Get out a butter knife. take out 2 slices of bread. Put butter on the knife. Put a light layer of butter on one side of the piece of bread. do the same to the other side. get out a frying pan. put it on the stove on meduim heat. place one piece of bread, butter side down, on the skillet. put the cheese on top of that. put the other slice of bread on top. allow to cook until underside is toasted. using a spatula, flip over and cook on other side until done. take off pan, put on plate, and enjoy your grilled cheese!
