Usually about 20 mins--but it depends upon how many there is, how large the pot is, etc.
Take a fork and gently put it into one of them...if it goes in smoothly, then they are done.
put them in a pot of cold water and bring them to a boil
you know when they are done when you can stick a fork easily into them

i boil them until they are soft and then i add butter and some garlic salt and parsley to it and leave them on low for a while to let the flavors blend. YUM!
