Answers:
Start with fresh pasta if you can but if not dried will work alright. Boil it in 3 cups water to every 1/2 pound pasta with a dash of salt util tender. Drain, sprinkle with olive oil and keep warm until sauce is done.
For Chunky Maranara Sauce:
Start by putting a tsp of oil oil in the bottom of your pot or sauce pan. Add 2 cloves garlic (chopped finely) and 1 whole onion (choppen in small pieces) and 1 tbs of Balsamic Vinegar. Let this cook until onions have carmelized (become see through and sweet) and the garlic is well browned. Add 3 cups crushed tomatos (canned is okay) with the following spices: 1 Bay Leaf, 1 tsp Sage, 1 tsp Oregano, 2 tsp Basil, Dash of Salt and Pepper. Then allow to simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. In a separate pan brown 1 lbs of ground beef crumbled or rolled into meat balls (half meat, 1/2 Italian seasoned breadcrumbs). Add to sauce once meat is almost completely cooked. Stir and simmer for another 20 minutes.
Serves 8
For Traditional Maranara:
Make as above but exclue 1/2 of onion and meatballs/ground beef which is served on the side.
Other Answers:
here's a simple spaghetti recipe (doesn't contain any meat) that doesn't require much and is a special favourite of mine:
400 gr spaghetti
oil
one medium size onion
garlic
salt and pepper
spaghetti condiment or basil
1 small jar/can of tomato paste
250 ml. thick tomato juice
2 cans of diced champignons
2-3 table spoons of diced olives
parmezan cheese
First, boiling the pasta - this method works like a charm. Fill a large pot with 3/4 water, add a teaspoon of salt and a little olive oil. When it's boiling, add the spaghettis and stir thoroughly so that they won't stick. Let them boil for 3-4 minutes, turn off the stove, cover the pot with a clean towel and put a lid. Leave it like this for 10-15 minutes and then pour them into a bolter under a bit of cold water.
For the sauce, saute a medium sized onion (chopped small) and a little garlic in olive oil (a table spoon). Add salt, pepper, 2 cans of chopped champignon mushrooms and 2-3 table spoons of diced olives and let them saute for about 3-5 minutes. Then add a small jar of tomato paste, stir and after about 2 minutes, add 250 ml. of thick tomato juice. If the sauce is too thick you may add water. Let it boil foor about 5 minutes, add some spaghetti condiment (or just basil) and let boil for another 5 minutes.
Serve with parmezan cheese on top.
Bon apetit!

Chock-pot spaghetti sauce: 2-jar of spaghetti sauce and around 2-lb. ground beef(cooked and drain) and add little more Italian seasoning and garlic and cook for 8-10 hrs. on low serve with a Garden salad and Garlic bread. dont bother- go to maggianos- (italian resteraunt) they have the best spagghetti but it is pricey
Ok, I'll give you my secret ingredient. Add a tablespoon of sugar to whatever recipe you are using.
