NO BAKE STRAWBERRY PIE

2 8 oz. pks frozen strawberries, drained
1 pkg strawberry glaze mix (in fruit dept.)
1 small tub of whip cream
1 ready made butter or graham cracker crust

Wash and cut strawberries or (drain all juice from frozen strawberries) mix stawberries and glaze mix together. Pour into crust. Completely cover with whip cream.
Put in fridge for 2 hours. Serve.

Hi,

If you cook the strawberries in a pot with the sugar and cook them til they start to thicken, you wont need cornstarch or gelatin. I think the ratio is 2 to 1, with the strawberries being the 2. Cook them on medium til they start to boil then lower the heat to low, stirring occaisonally til thickened. Cool then add to your pie crust and bake as normal.
Blue eyed had it right, but if I may add my two cents I'd recomend not using up all your strawberries during the cooking stage. Save some for the end, a few for the filling and a few for the top for presentation. Fresh strawberries can be rather delicate and I personally hate when I eat a pie and all the strawberries are just mush. The fact you have to reduce the fruit means you'll most probably end up over cooking them. Just as a tip, that's all
Cornstarch--- Substitute 1 tablespoon for
-2 tablespoons all-purpose floor or
-2 tablespoons granular tapioca

Geletin,flavored--- Substitute 3 ounce package for
-1 tablespoon plain geletin and 2 cups fruit juice.

Sorry no substitute for plain geletin on this list. Otherwise check out www.allrecipes.com and search for strawberry pie to find one that works.

Id go with blueeyed_wit...answer,
but make a sugar syrup,2 parts sugar to water and pour it over the stawberrys.
You can flavour or color the syrup.
I wouldnt cook the strawberrys as they will lose there colour. This method is a classic french way of which I use in my kitchen all the time.
heat up a jar of strawberry jam and mix it with the fresh strawberrys and put into your cooked pie crust and let cool and top with whipped cream and eat
flour is a good thickening agent.Try just dusting the strawberries in flour.
