Just curious. If we are not supposed to eat meat, why then are there acceptable form of "meat" for those opposed to eating meat. Yes, I know that vegetarian "meat" is not meat from an animal. Because you ARE supposed to eat meat
Its the carnivore agenda being perpetrated into vegetarian society. Carnivores are polluting your head with such labels!!
There are two reasons I can think of. The first is that people who eat meat and like it, but who wish to give it up to some degree want to have something which reminds them of it. The second is that tofu as just plain tofu isn't something you can do much with. You certainly can't make a sandwich with it. But if it is in the form that those meat substitutes are in, then you can. So them being in that form makes tofu more versatile for making different dishes and snacks.
I look at it as a way to know what the food will resemble or what it will be flavored.
I don't know.Well,maybe it's just for vegatarians who still want to eat meat not from a cow,chicken,etc.
