Is it true that if you fry like pork chops or chicken breasts frozen the meat will get tough??? Help!!
Answers:
Yes...First you should freeze the chicken breast or pork adn then slice them into pieces...
After that , you should thaw them and usign baking soda...to wash the meet..and then, put oil in the meet so they won't stick...Then put them into the refrigerator and them just put them into the frier and fry them..then, the meet will be soft and fresh
Other Answers:
Yeah thaw them out or microwave them on a low setting, then cook them makes them far nicer
i dont know about that. why not just defrost it in the microwave not if you fry them very slow and a longer time,,nice and tender!!!
If you fry it you would burn the outside in order to cook the frozen inside, but if you bake it you'll be fine. Best wishes
Yeah, I was watching the Dontell Jackson "Ain't No Thang" Cooking Show a few weeks ago and he recommends you ALWAYS thaw the meat.yes it is true I don't think it toughens the meat. The problem with pork and chicken is that you really want to get it cooked well...if it's frozen in the centre it may not cook right through.
If it's something you are going to throw in a casserole dish and cook slow it's not such a problem.
thaw first I don't know, but I would thaw them out first before you cook them.
If your frying up any meat you should thaw it first because the inside will not cook properly and you don't want to get sick.
I don't think it will make it tough... We throw frozen chicken breasts on our George Foreman grill and they are nice and tender and juicy! Get an instant read meat thermometer, though, so you can make sure they're cooked all the way.If you're pan frying, though, you may run into problems with the meat overcooking on the outside before the inside's done...unless you're on very low heat and prepared to wait quite a while for the meat to cook!
