What can I add to Sweet Chilli Sauce to stop it burning my mouth!? I can't eat anything spicy!. The mildest spice burns my tongue and anything stronger makes my mouth go numb!. I love sweet chilli sauce and usually buy a chinese selection pack from Tesco which has the sauce!. I can just about tolerate it!. Yesterday I bought a bottle of sweet chilli sauce and have just dipped some chinese spring rolls in it!. It is much stronger than the Tesco's stuff and my tongue is now feeling as if I have burnt it!. Is there anything I can add to the sauce to make it less strong!? Don't put any more sugar in it than there already is!!!
Sweet Chilli Sauce is like a thin jam which has lots of sugar in it to give it that sweet, thick consistency!.
Mix it with some mayonnaise!.
This makes it creamy and yummy and doesn't burn your mouth at all!.
I always use it as a dip for sushi/spring rolls and even sandwiches!.
However, I can also handle the stuff as it is!.

If its for dipping then try mixing it with a bit of mayonaise!.!.!. delish! Tesco also sell another brand of sweet chilli sauce in their ethnic section!.!.!. I'm sorry I can't remember the brand for the life of me but its in a very slim transparen glass bottle, and its a Thai Swet Chilli Sauce!.!.!.!. Natural yoghurt!.!.!.takes the ooh ahh out of really hot stuff!. Make sure it's plain though!. Greek thick set yoghurt is the best!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
