I am from the south and there are a variety of great foods incorporated into "soul food". I am looking for easy recipes that taste good, that still qualify as "made with love". I need more variety in my life.

Answers:
crawfish etoufee!!! im from louisiana so we eat alot of it

2 lbs. crawfish tails
1 can cream of mushroom
1 stick of butter
1 med onion
bellpepper
green onions

melt butter in pot add onions cook until onions are transparent add in cream of mushroom and bellpepper
add about 2 cups of water simmer until it gets thick
add green onions
then add crawfish lower heat and simmer about 10 min.
serve over rice. yummy!!!


also you can make red beans and rice.

1 bag of dried red beans
1 lbs. of smoked sausage
2 cans tom. sauce
1 lbs ground meat

soak beans in water over night
but into slow cooker with rest of ingredients
no need to brown groundmeat first its better when you let it cook with the sauce. cook about 3 to 4 hours in slow cooker and serve over rice. simple and yummy!@

i could list a million but these are my favorites and i cook these often.

pizza cassarole

hambuger 1pd, or more
one onion
bell pepper
pepporoni
canandian bacon
pizza sauce
creasant roles
cut pepper and onion and fry with hamber
after frying the hambuger
drain well and mix with pizza sauce

put in glass 8"8" or 9 cassarole pan
place rows of pepperoni and canadian bacon
when done take creasant roles and spread them
across the pan
place in oven on 350 and light the top get golden brown, crispy
enjoy


How about bread pudding with a bourbon sauce? I love all kinds of food in da south because I lived in da south all my life. I love Sweet potato pie and collard greens. I love country style ribs. I dont like barbequed meat thats burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. I love it cooked right babea! SOUTH FO LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!
