I used olive oil and the chicken wasn't crispy.

Answers:
olive oil can't handle high heat for long before it starts to smoke. Canola oil is healthy, but peanut oil is best for high temperatures. But don't use Peanut oil if you have peanut allergies!!

Other Answers:
vegetable oil

canola oil, I use vegetable oil in my deep frier, or try canola oil.

lard once it;s melted.....

peanut oil is the best kind to use for deep frying, and healthier than lard

peanut oil Why dont you just impale your heart on a javelin...

any oil

Wesson vegatable oil, it taste less greesy

Peanut oil is the best. It can withstand high temps without burning and it doesn't leave greasy feel or taste. Peanut oil is the best.

depends on what ur frying.

Try 1/2 peanut oil and 1/2 olive oil. Don't let the oil smoke - it means it is too hot and burning. Use a thermometer and heat the oil to 300 - 350 degrees. Add chicken or other foods slowly as they will cool down the oil if added too fast !! P.S. - Make sure all foods are patted dry - hot oils and water DON'T MIX ! Good luck and good eating ! Pete
