canned soda.
(it's the only real edible food there)
Well I'm home schooled now (thank heavens) but i ALWAYS brought my lunch. There wasn't really anything that was my favorite but just not the same thing everyday. I didn't buy my lunch though if that's what you mean.
dry pizza. better than the alternative
Ha, about the only time I wil leat lunch is when they have the Nacho and Cheese.
I'm not in school anymore but my favorite was always the mac and white cheddar cheese. Their banana pudding wasn't bad either. What's yours?
It was the same with me as Lissa. Outside procurement was not looked upon kindly and friends who had not or could not bring t iffins could easily be accommodated within us.School lunch was meant more for joint enjoyment than satisfying hunger.Home lunch was also more hygenic. There were no cases of food poisoning as we here now a days. Also in respect of home tiffins there were strict rules to bring simple preparations and no sweetmeats et;c.This encouraged a sense of equality among us.
I used to love school lunches! I remember there was a really nice butterscotch tart with or without whipped cream for puddinng! And I loved the mashed potato at school, and the potato windows (mini waffles) and potato smilies!! Potato addict you could call me....When I went to secondary school I would always have chips and beans, sometimes with cheese or a cheeseburger - how unhealthy is that?? I would never dream of eating that every day now! I don't know how I stayed slim back in the day! Oh, and do you remember at school went it was nearly Christmas and you had the option of that 'special' festive roast dinner with all the trimmings for about £2?!
We had the most amazing apple crisp. I loved it. Nothing else was quite as memorable.
Hot pie with tomato sauce from the canteen
mexican pizza day was the best day of the week. i do miss those square pizzas.
