Every type of food will raise your blood sugar a little, no matter what it is. Just don't add any extra salt or sugar and try to eat healthy... no extra sweets or salty foods, and you should be fine

My grandmother... She lived with my family for 2 years and was diabetic.
Limit your carbs. Proteins and fats will not raise blood sugar, but excess protein can lead to kidney failure, which you already run a higher risk of due to the diabetes. To eat healthy and maintain your blood sugar, eat a balanced diet. The easiest way is to divide your plate into 4 sections. 1/4 of your plate should be meat, 1/4 of your plate should be starch and the remaining 1/2 should be veggies. Avoid sweets since these cause the blood sugar to spike and you should do fine. E-mail me through my profile if you would like more info.
