nope nope
no..but good luck...sounds like the experience of a life time
Dip the dead chicken in hot water to soften the feathers then pluck away.I havn't but heard it's really sick...I don't know...I don't have the stomach for that sort of thing... No, but I have plucked a goose and some ducks. I imagine they are very similar.
Yes I have. It is not hard! It can be smelly!!! Go and try it!
Sure, lots of times. Just pull the feathers out with the grain, so you don't rip the skin. (Grab a few, and pull in the direction they're growing.)Don't do it! I have, and it's horrible! You'll never eat chicken again. I never did but my mom and some of my sisters have. It'll be smelly.
wow... .. with all the modern day simplicities of life i didn't know anyone still did this.. ..
why, when it's to convenient to buy one already dead.. plucked.. and sometimes cut up
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need a strong stomach!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First they cut their heads off & let the blood drain out, Then dip them in very hot water & then pull the feathers out!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When your done that they go in cold water before you cut them up too fry!!!!!!!!!
no-I think I would have to become a vegetarian after doing it! I've choked a chicken.
BTW, I've plucked ducks and geese. Pain in the a*s!
yes, and it stinks terribly. I would never do it again. Not a chicken but a duck
Dood, no....I make my husband clean the fish too. In high school biology class, I had a nice boy cut up my stinkin' frog. I don't think I will ever be a'pluckin' feathers from any chickens, though my Granny used to swing them around her head to break their necks. (relax, Chicken Boy!)
