when i think of a canoli i think of a pizza pocket first and then the cream filled thing. it will be a little complicated so ill tell you to go to http://www.recipezaar.com they will have at least one if not dozens of recipes for them. These are called ice cream cannoli's. havent tried the recipe yet, but will next time I go to the groc store. 15 ounces of whole milk or part skim ricotta cheese. 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/4 teaspoon grated orange rind,1/4 cupmini chocolate chips 8 -10 sugar cones, multi-colored sprinkles.
With wooden spoon mix ricotta , sugar,vanilla, orange rind until smooth. add chips and stir until evenly blended. cover and refrigerate for one hour. Spoon mixture into ice cream cones. add sprinkles and serve, serves 8 - 10
