Answers:
I always add alot more flour to mine to make them less flat, and they taste really good too. try 1/2 cup more than it says to start. good luck!

I'd have to see to be sure, but the most common culprit is too much butter, which also makes them hard. it seems a lot of recipes call for too much. Hope that helps, good luck!

Use baking soda, but just a little. And spread some dried fruits. That will help. If you substitute 1 of the eggs for 1/4 cup mayo your cookies will be really creamy and not at all flat. Also, for flavor, use real butter. I know it's crazy, but honestly, mayo is made up of eggs and oil, so it just works to bind the cookies a little more and make them less flat. I guarantee it works.

Make the cookie dough, put it in the refrigerator to cool.

make sure the oven is at the proper temperature for baking the cookies. Only cook about 12 cookies at a time - not several cookie sheets worth.

Sit you flat as.s on it, dumb ho! it seems you are using too much butter in your mixture.

Refrigerate dough until firm enough to shape into balls, at least 1 hour then bake.

Use less butter and add nutty stuff into it.
