every one cooks different ways and different temps on the grill the best and most effective way is a simple meat thermometer this way you will know for sure that it is done. chicken needs to be rinced well before cooking and thoroughly cooked bbq chicken rocks keep your bbq sauce and a brush or a spoon to put it on the meat every time you turn it turn it often like every couple minuits so it dont burn before the inside is done . oh yea check it out here is another way i figured out boil the chicken before you bbq it and it turns out great just dont boil it compleatly leave it a little raw in the center that way when you bbq it it wont dry out and you have time to throw sauce to it
