Tery -aki sause for about an hour if you want it realy tender soak it all night
This depends. You can do a liquid marinade or a dry rub. For a liquid marinade you can find a variety of store bought or you can make your own. All i do is combine the spices I like and add water. You can also use oil if you want. Olive oil works well. For a dry rub it is just that, a dry rub that you use on the meat. Flavors are up to you, use whatever you like. I like to keep my steak simple, Garlic, Seasoned Salt, fresh pepper, olive oil, Basil, and a few other spices. I also like the Montreal Steak Seasoning by McCormick.
It depends on the cut of steak. I've owned a restaurant and my husband has been a chef for 22 yrs. I have quite a few recipes but... I need to know the cut. Re-phrase your question.

First, I'd buy a nice porterhouse, and put it in a zip lock bag. Id put some fresh, minced garlic, some marsala wine, and parsley, minced onion, minced shallots, salt and pepper. Close the bag and let it sit for 2 hours or so. Either B-B-Q it on a real charcoal grill that's really hot, for only 2 minutes a side; OR in a hot fry pan on the stove for the same amount of time. You made me hungry, I have steaks too! ENJOY.
Soak it in a marinade.
First off I have to ask what cut of steak are you dealing with? If it is a tougher cut of steak you'll want to use something acidic like a vinegar or a better suggestion would be a nice dry red wine such as burgundy. This adds great flavor and you can add other flavor componets such as fresh minced garlic and diced onion, maybe even some fresh herbs (avoid rosemary when cooking beef, it tends to lend it's flavor more favorably to pork or lamb) thyme goes well with beef though. I would also suggest letting your steak marinate covered in the refrigerator for 24 hours especially if it is a large cut of meat. Now if you are dealing with a more tender cut of steak such as a new york strip you can still marinate it in wine or another acid but you won't want to marinate it more than a couple of hours because it will begin to break down the muscle tissue too much. One way that I had marinated steaks before that turned out excellent is when I was in culinary school I made a mesquite lime marinade. I accomplished this by getting some good olive oil, fresh lime juice, and mesquite seasoning (any good grocery store should have mesquite seasoning). I then grilled the steaks to a nice medium rare do be careful when using oil on the steaks as a marinade make sure you have a squirt bottle full of water beside the grill to prevent flare ups. I hope I have given you some useful information and remember when it comes to flavoring your marinade just be creative.
I agree with NWmo_Brcat09. It depends on your taste.
You can find recipes on the Internet, I listed a few below.

First I tenderize the steak.
The way I tenderize a steak is I use a special tenderizer Hammer. (see sight 1) I lightly hammer the steak on both sides to soften it up. Then after mixing the marinade I put the steaks in a Ziploc bag and I pour the marinade over the steak and seal the bag. I like to close the bag almost all the way then I suck out the rest of the air in the bag and this will cause the marinade to completely surround and saturate the meat. i let this sit at least over night if not 12 hours.
When you are ready to cook, (I cook my steaks on a charcoal grill) take the steaks out of the bags and put them on the grill and pour some of the left over marinade out of the bag onto the steaks.
Good luck and may God Bless you meal
