i want to steam whole of chicken but my wok is not big enough, so which one need to be covered? the water to steam or the chicken must be in closed container?

Answers:
the pot the chicken is in needs to be covered in order to steam it. however, a piece of aluminum foil works great for this if the pot has no lid ... just rip off a piece of foil and place over the pot - press down all around the edge of the pan to make a loose seal. works like a charm!

Other Answers:
it sounds to me like you need a bigger pot or a smaller chicken

Another alternative is to chop the chicken in 2 halves. It helps and still keeps the chicken moist!
