Answers:
It does seem to be a waste of good crab meat. I would never request them but if it came with the meal, it would be eaten.

Other Answers:
No. I don't like them at all. I want the CRAB , not ground up bits and pieces mixed with bread crumbs and baked......
The ones I've tried were really good.
I like them.
I like sea food, but rather than anyone tells you "is good" or "tastes bad", you should try some (of course if you don't have any kind of allergies)
Yes they are extremely good. Most of the time they have so many spices in them you forget that it is crab meat.

Hi!
First of all...do you like crab?? If yes, then try them for heaven's sake!! Try the ones made with crackers or the ones made with rice. They are very good and are addictive!!
Good luck!

Depends on how you make them are where you go to eat them. Anything branded Maryland crab cakes should be the good kind. I myself love them.
They are truly one of the best seafood appetizers you can get your lips around.

Give them a try you won't be dissapointed & if you are, try again, they didn't make them right.
They are terrific. They are second best thing you will ever put in your mouth. Imperial crab is also great. A good crab cake has a lot of crab, little or no shell, and great breading and spices with a slightly crispy brown outside. I'm hungry!!
I don't care for them, for one thing, the ones you buy, are not usually made out of real crab meat. Two---they are usually dry.
not the frozen in a box kind you bake they're mush

but after removing as much crab meat as possible from crabs, it's a great way to use the ineveitable small pieces leftover. Lotsa fresh spices/herbs and binder of choice (rice/cracker crumbs etc) cooked and eaten right away they're great with a cold beer.

Love them!
Love crab cakes, freshly made. The frozen variety just doesn't cut it. The best I ever had was in Boston and San Francisco. If you ever get to these cities, try the crab cakes. Most excellent!!!
If they are fresh they are awesome, if they are frozen, go for something else.
My son is only 8 years old and he loves them. And you know how picky kids can be about food.
Fabulous!!!
