The only "hand" shaped vegetable I know is "Fo shou" Buddha's hand, which is actually a type of citron. But this is clearly not a melon a squash (which is what 'Gua' implies.).
Please explain the first two characters, and tell us a bit more about how it looks...color, shape, size, texture, taste, cooked how?
