Answers:
flour comes with different protein/starch ratios. the more protein the more gluten. If you are baking a cake you don't want a high protein flour. When you make bread you want one with a lot of protein like bread flour.

Pastry
Cake
All Purpose
Bread

Pastry has the most starch and is mainly used for pastries.
Cake- cakes, danishes, most pastries.
A/P- is a mixture of cake and bread flour.
Bread- breads, pate chouix souffle bases. can be used in sauce thickening.

Other Answers:
only use bread machine in an actual bread machine
the name... so you can buy flour twice.
all purpose flour does not have the ingredients in it, like baking powder and salt, that cause it to rise.
Bread flour has gluton in it to help it rise when mixed with yeast.
All purpose flour is good for making anything. Bread machine flour has more protein in it. That way it will develop more gluten when it is kneaded.
