Steaming is best for keeping appearances as well as taste and vitamins. Boiling is also good, but you must be careful; boiling your veg too long might dissolve the vitamins in to the water. Blanching is dunking your veg into boiling water for about just 30 seconds; best for keeping appearance and texture (your veg will be a step better than raw, but you'll still get the crunchy taste). Vegetable can also be stir-fried with a little oil, my favorite way of cooking vegs!

Steaming is good as it keeps in the natural sweetness (which encourages people to eat more) and the vitamin content is diminished less. Of course the healthiest way to eat most veg is raw.
boiling is the best way as i experience it makes it tasty and reduce some of the poisoney things which are harmful for stomach.

I generally cook fresh vegetables like spinach, squash and green beans by first putting some vegetable oil into a deep pot,then adding chopped onion, chopped meat, some tomato paste (or chopped tomato), some salt and spices like red and black pepper and stir a while on a fire (Moderate degree).After this mixture becames softer I add the main vegetable (which was washed and cut into rational pieces) and few water and put the cover of the pot and continue to cook it until it becomes suitable for eating... For such vegetables as cauliflower you have to boil it first then repeat the above procedure explained...I wish you good luck.
