1 large onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 six ounce can tomato paste
1 cup water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon prepared yellow mustard
1 tablespoon dried, minced onion
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin (heaping)
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Brown ground beef in a skillet, adding onions half way through. Add minced garlic when meat is nearly done.
Add remaining ingredients; stir well to combine. Simmer over low heat 15 minutes.

Serve over hot dogs, Coney Island style!

Other Answers:
It is impossible to replicate coney sauce....I have tried and tried. I think the people that own the coney places are a part of a secret cult that will not allow a normal person to produce the wonderful yumminess that is a coney!!!
