Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Are slippery carrots a sign of spoilage?),it will help you,my kids.
I bought a bag of carrots today. When I opened the container and began removing the carrots, I noted that most of them felt slippery, even somewhat slimey. Although I was able to rinse them off to the point that they felt normal again, I was wondering if eating them might be unwise. Other than this particular problem, the veggies are nice and firm, seeming to have no other defect...no visible signs of mold, etc.
Answers:
Thats happens when they are bagged. They are fine.
Other Answers:
They are O.K.
The "slippery" will wash right off. Wash them under cold running water and they will feel fine.
i wouldnt eat that. slippery is caused by some acids and they are usually not suppose to so dnt take chances with food.
I would not eat them.
Yes it is a sign of spoilage, but can be used cannot keep for a long time.
When they have been in the "slime" stage, it is best to steam or boil them before you eat them. The heat will "sweat out" many remaining toxins in the root. Carrots are a root & they tend to pick up their toxins directly from the soil & water they are grown in!
