Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Can you freeze beets and do you need to do anything to them before freezing?),it will help you,my kids.
Answer:
Yup! You can freeze beets, but you need to parboil them first.
If you don't, the beet fairy will unleash her wrath upon you!
Preparation:
Wash and sort for size; trim tops, leaving tail end and about 1/2 inch of stems. Size for whole beets shouldn't be more than 3 inches.
Blanching Time:
Beets are fully cooked. Boil until tender; about 25 minutes for small or 45 minutes for larger beets. Cool immediately; remove skins and trim ends. Cube or slice.
Pack:
Leave 1/2 inch of headspace for cubed beets; no headspace for whole or sliced beets.
my mom says
Freezing keeps the flavor and texture better than any other method available to home cooks. However, freezer burn, the dehydration of frozen foods causes a lot of waste. The best way to prevent it and make your frozen foods last longer and taste better, is to remove as much air as possible, and to use thick plastic containers. Vacuum food sealers, like the FoodSaver brand do this, and I've been using them for over 25 years.
sure you can freeze beets but one would have to blanch them ( partially cook them )
