I recently found out where rennet comes from (ugh!) and wanted to know if the cheese in the Safeway pizza is made with animal rennet. I thought someone here might know, otherwise I will just check the ingredients next time I go to Safeway.

I'm pretty sure it's animal-derived. Safeway is not vegetarian-friendly. Even its "vegetarian" products contain hidden animal ingredients like rennet or gelatin.
It is probably animal rennet but you can write to them on their site and ask them.
General rule of thumb: if it does not say Vegan; then isn't.
it's mostly non-vegetarian friendly, i work at a pizza place, we use cheap cheese.,
