Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(How do overcome this?),it will help you,my kids.
I watched one like a week ago, and I still refuse to eat meat. I'm 13 and my parents get so mad when I say I wont eat it. It just grosses me out now. I love meat, but now I know how badly they torture the animals that it sickens me. If I had my choice I would go veg, but it's my parents who are stopping me. How do I get over this?
Answer:
Personally I love meat but I would never force my son to eat anything he didn't want.Sit down with your parents and say what you just said here. Tell them you are willing to make something else that is healthy and will give you the protein you need.Maybe you and a parent can get on Internet and search together for good healthy choices. There are lots of foods you can get your protein from.Good Luck.
talk to your parents about your decision. make a plan about how you can get the same nutrients without meat. hopefully if you speak to them in a right manner then they will respect that. good luck!
Talk to your parents. Let them know how the treatment of the animals has affected you. Ask them to work with you. Perhaps even go to the library and get a book of vegetarian recipes. Offer to help prepare the meat-free dishes. (this will also give you a few minutes of alone time with your mom --- just an added little bonus).
What you are feeling may only be a knee-jerk reaction to suddenly being aware of the treatment of animals. In time it may pass and you may revert to your meat eating habits.
Ask your parents to be patient and understanding of your feelings while you deal with this.
show that you are serious about it and that you are going to be responsiable .talk to your doctor and a nutritionist before you do anything.
I was in almost the same situation as you when I first went vegetarian.
Here are some places where you can order FREE vegetarian starter kits. They will help you with recipes and how to get proper nutrition.

Ok, after you have done that, I recommend you take a look at this site. It is an online forum where you can get advice from other vegetarians.

Next time your mom goes grocery shopping, go along and buy some protein rich foods like beans, veggie burgers, other meat alternatives, nuts, peanut butter and assorted veggies. These should help you have food when your family is eating meat.
When I first went veg I was still eating fish. To make your decision easier on your parents, you should still eat fish.
Eventually they will realize that you made a good decision.
Remember: Go buy veggie burgers and veggie hotdogs. They will make your life sooo much easier, and they are extremely high in protein.
Also, buy a nutritional supplement drink like Ensure or Boost and have that once a day.
I hope I helped, and good luck with everything!
Unfortunately after I read the site I have been unable to join in on eating animals that are treated so cruely. Would your parents let you eat soy meat....it not only looks like meat but it tastes alot better and is alot better for you...
