When I went vegatarian, and I craved meat, I would make myself a big portabello mushroom burger with swiss cheese. If you marinate the mushroom right its amazing. I topped it off with a spring salad and pistachio nuts. Try to stear clear of the fake meat. I recently heard that morningstar (a fakey meat brand) uses egg whites from chickens that are packed into wire cages (AHH).
try a soy burger and good luck
When changing your diet,,be sure to get some good books on the subject so you can balance your complex carbs. etc. You need protein. If you are not vegan, seek eggs, beans, grains.
go buy some fake meat and eat it, they sell fake bacon and such at supermarkets
or make some tofu
Protein Protein and more Protein, I suggest peanut butter or you could get some tofu and flavor it with your favorite flavor-if its meat you crave try a drop of liquid smoke or some BBQ seasoning. Don't understand the desire myself but good luck to ya
There is something your body misses from meat which is why your body is craving it. Before you jump back into meat, try to identify it, it could be protein or something l ike that. I'd up my vitamins. I love mushrooms and if sauteed a certain way they could pass for meat. Good luck
Take a nice big Portabello Mushroom and toss it in some olive oil,balsamic vinegar and your favourite steak seasoning and pan fry or grill it....This works for me...
Go to a steak house order a big Ole steak then reconsider your lifestyle. Salads and broccili are good but they go better with meat and potatoes
