I never had one before, so I bought one the other day to try it out. Also what's the best way to tell if it's good when you buy it? I'm not a veg., but thought you would know best. Thanks

Answers:
If it gives just slightly when you press your thumb into it, it is perfect. The best way to peel it to cut off both top and bottom, slide a spoon between the skin and the meat and continue to slide the spoon around the fruit. It will pop right out of it's skin!! Cut the fruit up and eat it. It really doesn't need anything to accompany it, but if you're looking for a dip to go with it, try this one. Room temperature cream cheese mixed with a container of unfrozen cool whip, mix until smooth. Then add some cheery juice form maraschino cherries.ummmm, just wonderful. Enjoy!! :)

Dude, Kiwi picking isn't like picking out a watermelon, just grab a random one and make sure it's not mushy. You don't want it to be too hard either, but hard is better than mushy.

Just like when you buy cantalope you dont want it to be soft or hard as a rock.. then you wanna cut off the outside like you do with a apple or something. They are way better cold. the best way to eat it: peel it, put in mouth, chew, shallow

Cut it in half and use a grapefruit spoon to dig out the meat of the fruit. Hope it's nice and ripe, otherwise it could be pretty sour.

i alwats chop the top off and eat it like a boiled egg.they are good to buy when they are firm, but wait until they go slightly soft to eat Try eating it with plain yogurt, just slice it up and mix, very yummy!!!

if you don't mind using your hands, cut it in half and use a spooon to scoop out the flesh ...

if "politeness" requires "no hands" cut in half and put on a plate, hold down with fork and use a sharp knife to peel away the outer skin

the best way is to use a knife take out the outer layer and then you are good to go . un-skin before you eat. better to eat it cold.

ripe

As for the Kiwi Fruit, colour is not a good indicator of ripeness but if its 'gives' a little when you squeeze it its usually OK to eat.

Cut off one end of the Kiwi. Use a spoon to separate the skin from the fruit, then scoop the fruit out whole (This is very easy). Then slice it with a knife, and you have pretty peeled kiwi slices. Looks good for serving too. with a chocolate fondue!!!!!!!!!!
