Last week, I decided I wanted to become a vegetarian and so far I have been doing well. I haven't eaten any chicken, beef, pork, or seafood. But what should I eat to help keep my protein level where it should be? I'm not a vegan, so don't tell me I cant eat eggs or drink milk!

Answers:
I don't recommend it but if you eat milk, eggs and cheese you have already have your complete proteins. Other vegan sources of complete protein include soy, tofu, hemp seed, spirulina, and the grain quinoa. If you mix beans and rice, or wheat and cheese, these also make complete proteins.

Do what you can now and little by little encourage yourself to make healthier choices. Milk products will produce an incredible amount of mucus causing, sinus infections, earaches, and other illnesses, so if you do indulge try to keep it to a limit. There is also a link between milk products and cancer, especially breast cancer.

I would try to include as many fresh veggies as you can handle and watch out for the processed foods. If you need to for whatever amount of time try the meatless burgers and dogs. I like the garden burger variety. You can live quite a while in balance eating these as your base and they are easy to make. Try to get some recipe ideas and try something new at least>chinesefood.about.com/od/veget...
