1.Vegetarian eat?
2.Do they eat any meat products?
3.Can you lose weight being a vegetarian?
Answers:
It depends on what kind of vegetarian because there are different types. Some just do not eat animal protein (example, beef, chicken, turkey or even fish) and others do not eat any animal products such as eggs, milk products including yogurt and cheese) and live strictly on a fruit and vegetable diet (probably how tofu came about). Either way there are certain vitamins that people need and if they are not getting them from their diet they need to take vitamins and supplements. By just limiting your intake on animal fats, without completely eliminating them from your diet you can lose weight, eat more fresh fruit and steamed veggies, switch to 1% milk, low fat foods, drink more water, eat some tuna it is really high in the omega-3 fats which are the heart healthy kind and good for you. Also with any diet you need to increase your exercise and limit your calories. Best of luck to you and your diet.
Other Answers:
Vegetarian's eat mainly veggies, but some do eat small amounts of meat, usually fish, or white meats.
You can lose weight if you switch from eating lots of meat, to eating little or none, yes, but overall, vegetarianism isn't about weight loss.
And even though the person below me said you don't get enough protein, you do. You just get it from different things, nuts & beans are VERY high in protein.

im a vegatarian I am a vegetarian so I do know
1. I eat mainly vegetables, potatoes, carrots, lots of fruits, lots of pasta.
2. I eat absolutely no meat products this includes poultry, pork, beef, fish, nothing of that sort.
3. I haven't lost weight by being a vegetarian but I've always been very tiny and still am, I think it's just my body structure not from being a vegetarian. 1. They eat anything other than meat of any kind.
a. veggies
b. grains
c. fruit
d. nuts
2. No meat products of any type
3. Yes you can lose weight, But it's more like maintain a good body weight and if you work out a low fat rate also.
Remember that fruits have natural sugar which with your body will produce lots of carbs which will increase your weight so you must watch the sugar intake as well.
The fiber they consume also helps them with a weight problem naturally.
Most Vegetarian's are healthier than meat eaters simply because they are much more health conscious and truly look after their bodies. 1.If your a true vegitarian or vegan no meat, dairy, or eggs. If you a lacto-ovo vegitarian you can eat dairy, and eggs but no meat.
2.If they are really a vegitarian, no!(including seafood)
3.A low fat vegitarian diet with regular exersize is the best way to lose weight in my, and many doctors oppinions. 1. lots of vegetibles
2. NO
3.well it depends Vegetarians eat fruits, vegetables, beans, grains, and often eggs and/or dairy products. Technically, they can't eat meat, poultry, or fish, but there are no laws on language usage, so some people say they're vegetarians and eat fish or poultry. Many (but not all) vegetarians are careful to avoid food additives of animal origin, such as gelatin, rennet, or bleached white sugar.
Vegans are strict vegetarians who eat *no* animal products--no eggs, dairy, or honey.
Some vegetarians also don't wear or use other animal products (leather, wool, etc.).
You can certainly lose weight being a vegetarian. In fact, it's *easier*, since fat (which has the highest calorie density) is more prominent in animal foods than in vegetarian foods. However, you can also *not* lose weight if you eat more calories than you take in.
