Answers:
that its grown without chems or pesticides
Other Answers:
Organic food is produced by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality for future generations. Organic meat, poultry, eggs, and dairy products come from animals that are given no antibiotics or growth hormones. Organic food is produced without using most conventional pesticides; fertilizers made with synthetic ingredients or sewage sludge; bioengineering; or ionizing radiation. Before a product can be labeled "organic," a Government-approved certifier inspects the farm where the food is grown to make sure the farmer is following all the rules necessary to meet USDA organic standards. Companies that handle or process organic food before it gets to your local supermarket or restaurant must be certified, too.

supposedly uncontaminated by manmade chemicals.
pure.
It means it doesn't have the chemicals and pesticides sprayed all over it. Plus it means it is more healthy for your body!!!!
well basically everyone's already given u the basic point. An organic food hasnt been sprayed with any sort of chemicals while it is grown. What are these chemcials usually u may ask? They are usually used to preserve the vegetables/fruits so that they last longer in ur fridge or they may be pesticides to keep insects away from it.
So an organic food doesnt have these chemicals, meaning its healthier and more fresh becasue they were taken straight from the ground. basically...they are NATRUAL =]
Organic - one or more of the ingredients are organic
USDA organic - every ingredient is organic

What is "certified" organic?
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has established a uniform set of production methods for growing and processing organic food. If farmers and manufacturers meet these standards, which include annual on-site inspections by third-party inspectors, their crops or food are certified to be organic. If a food product has between 95% to 100% organic content, it may be called "organic" and the USDA Organic seal may be used on the packaging
