Answers:
i recently became vegan, and i'm learning that there are a lot of misconceptions about vegans. i became vegan for the exact same reasons i became vegetarian: animal cruelty, the environment, and the fact that so much usable food is being fed to animals, rather than to people.

after becoming vegetarian, every time i ate dairy products or eggs, i was reminded that i was contributing to the meat industry and to animal cruelty. dairy cows are turned into hamburger when they can no longer produce milk. their babies become veal, steak, etc. egg-laying chickens are treated worse than perhaps any other animal, and the male chicks are usually killed right after hatching. eating milk or eggs contributes to these treatments.

to me, vegetarianism seemed like making only half an effort, but not truly committing. still, vegetarianism is a very important act, and i'm proud of those who do it. veganism is harder, but it's based on the very same ideals. (i don't know why some people are claiming veganism is about religion.)

Other Answers:
vegetarian. It is a personal spiritual choice while veganism appears to be an extremist, political, neorosis driven attention seeking disorder. Honey exploits bees, sugar is refined with ground cow bones. Go for the honey. It's better for everybody.

I think vegetarian^^ For sure vegetarian. Less fussy and preachy. I am lactose and vegan intollerant.

Vegans do not eat meat, drink milk, eat cheese, eggs or anything that comes from an animal by choice or for spiritual reasons, vegetarians do not eat meat by choice. Mr freespeach appears to have the 'bull by the horns' so to speak LOL
