What is your opinion about being vegan? People are vegan b/c they are compassionate w/ animals like pigs, cows, chickens, and turkeys. Vegans chose to be that way b/c they think that there's animal cruelty. Abuse to used to painfully kill these animals for food.
I am not a vegan. I am asking what do you think?
Answers:
I figure everybody's got a right to eat like they want to but vegans just have to be careful to get enough Vitamin B12.
Meat production is a horrible waste of resources but then, so is the individual automobile..

What is your opinion about eating hamburgers.. mmm cow!
I don't really put too much thought into it, I like eating meat too much but all the power to them, if they choose it. It just means more T-bones for me :)
They can be found in major coastal cities the world over, hugging trees and lighting SUVs on fire.
People may eat whatever they like.
I shall do the same.
its up to you what you eat, as long as you don't try and tell me what i eat is wrong.
Being vegetarian has nothing to do with compassion towards animals. It also has nothing to do with painfully killing of this animals.
Vegetarian is better choice of eating to be healthy.
It does not mean that all Non Vegetarians are not healthy.
One should have a balance diet consisting of veg. and non.veg.
Well, I like eating meat, but if someone else wants to eat veggies and beans all the time, I could careless.
I do agree that the methods used to produce meats that are store bought are cruel and inhumane. Personally, I prefer to eat meats that someone has hunted and killed. Venison is my fave!
hehe.. sorry. i think that vegans are taking things to extremes. i mean they don't even eat milk and cheese because it comes from cows. i think it's kind of rediculous and a less drastic form of anorexia, but everyone is entitled to their own rights and oppinions and if they don't feel like eating meat (or anything that comes from animals for that matter) than more power to 'em. But i like my ham sandwiches and milkshakes. hmmhmm...
that is why they have all these difftent life styles
I think its very fine because i blieve its healthier, though due to African traditions it might be no very save especially during social gatherings where one might have enemies because being vegan means being given a special treatment during the time of serving and that's where enemies get the opportunity.
im 16, and i have been a vegetarian ever since i was ol enough to realise meat=cows, chickens, piggies. it was not until i was 13 when i did an injustice project on factory farms that i decided to be vegan. some people do the vegan/veg diet because animals are extremely mistreated... some do it for a healthier life. i think vegans are healthier in their lifestyle (if you knew what fatory farmers put in our milk, and meat you would not want to eat it either) and i think they are just more concious about what they eat and how the animals are in fact treated on factory farms. some vegans take their lifestlyes to far and try to force it on othe people. the peta buisness thing is a prime exaple. peta is constrantly preaching, protesting (not even good protests), and putting animal eaters down. they need better tactics to raising awareness.
but to sum up your uestion.. i just think being a vegan is healthier lifestyle (its hard at first... but not as hard as you thin and it gets better.) you consume fresh, drug-free good, and most of its organic.its a fast way to lose weight haha.im hardly sick but i need to take supplements to maintain my vitamin level though.it also did make me aare of the animal cruelty that goes on...
The only reason I became vegan was for medical reasons as I am allergic to alot of foods and was sick of being sick all the time and having trouble to breathe cause I had eaten the wrong food. I do think though some vegans take things to the extreme some times but alot are also vegan for animal rights but that's not for me. It does bother me sometime though when I am accused of having an eating disorder because of the way I eat its every persons right to choose how they eat if they want to be vegan "" vegetarian "" or just plain meat eaters it ain't bothering me
I became a vegetarian for health reasons. Vegans live an average of 11 years longer than meat eaters in the US with lower rates of all known chronic diseases. I don't mind other people eating meat, and as long as neither of us gets hit by a bus, I'll live longer and be healthier than eaters of corpse food.
I don't mind eating with people who eat meat and I'm not militant about it either. I don't normally bring it up. Each person makes their own path in life, and the farther they go down that path, the consequences come back to them. I have found that people who really like meat don't particularly care that they will have a much greater risk for colon cancer or arthritis or Alzheimer's disease, if it means they have to give up meat. As long as they consciously make that choice, it's OK with me.
I spent a month and a half with a vegan couple, and could not handle it. I'm a vegetarian and I need my dairy products.
I'm a Vegan and I have never felt healthyer! (Some Vegans turn Vegan b/c of what you mentioned above, others for health, others for environmental reasons, others for human rights reasons, others b/c they fear their own "Karma" so to say. However, some Vegans or people who try out the Vegan Diet miss the vital nutrition because they are ignorant about where to get alternative suplaments/fortified food or food with the same properties/nutrients/vitamins this is why there is alot of Veg people who's said they've tryed Vegan and didn't work out, while others try it and miss the stuff because they don't know how to do they're homework on where to buy oh say Vegan Cheese/Whip Cream/Sour Cream/Immitation Meats/Egg Replacers)
:-)
I went Vegan for ALL of the above!

I would of never turned Vegan if I was to be deprived of Ice Cream ... I LOVE ALL MY VEGAN ICE CREAMS! Soy, Rice, and Almond Milk for Vegan Ice Cream all the WAY!!!
