Here are some friends with simlar question as we.And I have this question for many days, anyone help us?
Kitty said: Yes.Who are you to judge (READ ME)?-I try seach this on internet but no results found.Maybe this is a stupid question.
Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Who are you to judge (READ ME)?),it will help you,my kids.
firstly, all you meat eaters claim that vegans and vegetarians are all preachers and try to push their beliefs onto you and make you feel bad for your choices. let me say that i am yet to come across a single vego who acts like that. they may voice an opinion when asked but it's rare to find someone that would push you to stop eating meat. i am NOT saying they don't exist but don't generalise and say all vego's are preachers. it's not fair and not accurate. they are the minority.
secondly, i think it's fair to say that you meat eaters are trying to push your beliefs onto us vego's so much more than 'we' do to you. i recently asked a question if vegetarians and vegans still get pressured by family and friends to eat meat and 100% of the answers i got said yes. some answers even mentioned how people were literally forcing meat into their mouths. thats sickening and shows how little respect they receive. Put yourself in their position. what if people were constantly disrespecting you and shoving their beliefs literally down your throat against your will. it’s atrocious.
Answer:
First of all, who are the people that that are pushing their meat eating beliefs on you? Friends ? Family?
If they are your friends and family then the problem lies within them.
Second, I've seen alot more vegetarians say that anyone who eats meat is cruel and inhumane. I've seen some real rants coming from vegetarians. And usually the meat eaters answer in defense to this kind of attack.
Third, I'm a meat eater who is married to a vegetarian. He does what he wants with no interference from me and vice versa.
And last, you are generalizing all meat eaters which is very unfair.
I also noticed that you instructed someone how to prepare chicken... thats a bit curious to me.. something doesn't sound quite right with that. I mean whatever your reasons for being such an offended vegetarian, why
would you give cooking instructions for meat dishes made by meat eaters??
If you were such a serious vegetarian wouldnt you be hesitant to tell people how to cook meat???
Ummm...so ya don't want this chicken nugget then?
Lol you needa chill hombre,
You going loco!
Give it up. Who are you to deicide that ALL meat eaters claim that? you dont know a thing. Its your choice to be vegetarian live with the consequences - and no its not fair but life isnt you should know that by now.
i agree with you, we are are all free to live and do as we see fit as long as it harms no other, well said.
the above statement can be added to all things in life...live and let live!
i dont want
I agree with your argument. I was vegetarian for 15 years. During that time, I quietly consumed the foods that I wanted, and said nothing to anyone else about their food choices. When I had guests, I cooked them meat without even mentioning it to be an issue.
Yet I was surprised at how many people would say, "I know how this hamburger grosses you out" or other things that I would never, ever say.
I even had one friend tell me that I made her feel guilty for years. Yet I hadn't done or said anything to her about it. It was just her projecting her feelings onto me.
When I was pregnant I added lean proteins back into my diet and you would be surprised at the rude comments I then got. "I am sooo glad to see you finally eating something other than grass."
But most people were very accepting of my choice. To each his own.
Where do you live? Has never happened to me, anyone trying to literally force meat down my throat, or less, trying to convince me that I should eat meat... I live in Borneo, and people tend to accept me as I am...
so since you dont eat meat the subject of oral sex come to mind, just say no?
okay i really did try to get through that question and i failed. okay, lately it has been whites agianst blacks, liberals against conservatives, and so on... why must i now sit through vego vs. meat eaters. what has the world come too. i have never heard of the phrase vego until know, and what the hell..meat eater. humans were made to eat both meat and vegtables. i have always thought of my eating habits as normal. but, i have honestly never gave a second thought to people that do not eat meat. and no matter what you do, your family is going to pressure you. as for respect, ha, that doesnt exist much anymore. and some one will always try to push thier beliefs on you. get use to it.
Whoa there. You are generalizing. "All you meat eaters" Nope, not so. I am a meat eater and the love of my life does not eat meat. We neither one pressure the other to change. Sometimes I will cook meatless meals for the two of us. Sometimes my love will cook meat for me. I do eat less meat than before we got together but that is my choice. Please, don't group "all" the meat eaters together. Kudo's to you for making your choice and sticking with it.
but hams are so delicious!!!
I like vegetable, too, but I like to wash them down with a nice big slab of ribs, followed by a giant glass of cow's milk.
Is this a question or just another pointless rant?
I'm a meat eater, and i applaud those that become vegans or vegetarians, it's just not for me, i've never pushed anything down a persons throat.
to quote you back, how about some damn respect for those that just sit on the other side of the fence, instead of generalizing . Whether you like it or not humans are Omnivores, people will eat meat whether you like it or not, and ENJOY it .
As for you we dont doooo that, whining, i have only one thing to say...
Peta fanatics.
if 80% of the people round you are pestering you to return to eating meat i suggest you dont hang round with them, thats your fault!! and by the way i have never tried to get a vegetarian to eat meat and I find it disrespectful that you judge all us meat eaters the same, we are not..
i will amen that
I know I'm a vego and at my youth group they spent half the time on me saying its wrong and god put cows hear to be eaten i thank that's true but its really gross to eat some thin that was KILLED for us to make sure that are blood thirsty side can be filled I like fruits that is what i eat Ive been Just Fruits for 7 days now and ave lost a lb. a day i always ate at MC. and BK now NO WAY yeah i have i the past but now just the thought of Meat is all it takes to make me UC they can get fat if they thank it will make them feel better but Ive never seen a unhealthy HIP IE Email me if you thank I'm right ipdogwalker@yahoo.com
Like what some others mentioned, there will also be people who believes strongly in one cause and trys to "convert/ force" others into his believe eg political or religious affliation
You must have great reasons to believe in vegetarianism. Just stay true to your believes.
I would like to think that those that "force" you to eat meat are ignorant and self-centered. Ignorant because they don't know that in fact a vegetarian diet is healtier; self-centered because they cannot accept different opinions. imho, those that force to convert you cannot be considered true friends.
Personal experience: many times, my non-vegetarian friends are willing to eat greens when they dine with me. I also have friends that go all out in search of vegetarian eateries when we travel to another country.
well said! Isnt it insane how they INSIST we eat meat? What I do or dont put in my mouth is no ones business! I suppose they should have an opinion on which brand of feminine hygeine products I use as well, dont you think? Its as personal of a choice as food is. I dont mention my food preferences, unless asked. A friend asked me about it recently, and I simply explainted that I didnt support the animal cruelty issues, and found commercial meat to be unsanitary. The well meaning friend brought me a package of venison that her husband had killed!! I dont want venison, or any other dead animal. I know she meant well, and explained that it was cruelty free and sanitary. I politely declined, and she got VERY angry at me-simply couldnt understand. Oh, well. what to do.
no one can judge you
Never mind, you wouldn't want to know those people anyway ,Why worry for their opinions ! ? ; )
We both know there are trolls on here, and I must admit, I did do some of it myself when I first found this forum. BUT, by educating myself as to the diet and the reasons (and even some of the recipes, YUM!) I've found on this forum, I can say that I honestly don't care or judge anyone on what diet they choose. The vegetarian diet has many health benefits.
But, I've posed questions on here, and have read answers and have concluded that around 90% of the vegetarians on this forum are that way because of the way they feel about animal cruelty. That is your choice, but for some to harass and chastise ME because I choose to eat meat that may or may not have come from one of those evil places on the PETA videos is just plain rude. I usually don't; I'm fortunate enough to be able to buy beef and pork straight off of my friends farm.
i believe you're right! people shouldn't judge others 4 what they believe in - period! if you're a jew and you didn't want 2 celebrate x-mas but some1 who's a christian was shoving this whole saint nick theary down your throat, then, that's just wrong...
I agree. You are so right. Even though most of us vegetarians and vegans are peaceful by nature in our beliefs, there are still morons like DAWG out there to insult us for being "born". Just gotta live with it I guess.
By the way dawg... It seems like you got some real issues. Its probably all the meat you consume. Maybe you should stop worrying about vegetarians and start seeing a Doctor.
Dear Caylah R, "leaf eating tree hugging hippies"
Hahaha you don't get out much do you?
I think about vegetarians, vegans, vegos, and other forms of eating styles about twice a year.
I don't think evil thoughts. I think of vegetables and carrot juice. I think of tofu and bean sprouts.
I think of nuts and soy milk. That is all.
Vegans that I have met are usually are laid back, peace seeking individuals who don't eat meat.
So it's quite unusual for me to see such a vocal militant vegan surface after all the years I have lived on the planet. It is quite disturbing to see because the vegans I have seen and known love to generate a harmonious atmosphere.
Maybe you should sit down and relax. Fix a nice hot pot of herbal tea and enjoy the lifestyle you have chosen.
:)
Rare to find someone who would push me to stop eating meat?
All you need to do is spend sometime on this sight and you will see plenty of vegetarians going off on meat-eaters. And don't generalize - good call after putting this out to "all you meat eaters".
I stopped eating meat for over a year, and I never once had anyone try to get me to eat meat, offer to pay me to eat meat, or attempt to shove meat down my throat.
It is not "fair to say that you meat eaters are trying to push your beliefs onto us vego's so much more than we do to you"
That is a pretty wide generalization right there.
You need to find yourself some new friends. And respect is earned...if these are the kinds of mindless, uneducated rants you go off on to the people around you, it is no big wonder why you aren't getting any respect.
If we were not ment to eat meat, why is it so tasty?

I did'nt make to the top of the food chain just to eat grass and tree bark.

I am a meat eater, and my wife is a vegetarian. Learn to respect each other and compromise.
By using the word "all", are you not making a bit of a general statement.
Many of us meat eaters on this planet have been vegetarians in the past and still eat predominately vegetarian meals, therefore, there are many vegetarians on this site that do not fit your "black and white" profile of the world.
Get over yourself and expand your mind a little!
Hey, hey there sport Billy,
I eat meat but I have no issue with anyone who doesn't. If you feel that people are constantly disrespecting then
a) you are being bullish to begin with or
b) you are very self centered and have proclaimed yourself as a martyr for the sake of all vegan/vegetarians and let everything anyone says affect you personally
It's not that big a deal... really. Eat what you like and who cares what people think.
