Mike said: oh,no,you are wrong.I have found as below for this question(Why do vegans have dry flaky skin?),it will help you,my kids.
My mother-in-law has dry flaky skin and I have told her to include a little red meat in her diet for healthy skin, but she refuses. What can I do to convince her to eat a well balanced diet? I am afraid this sect she is involved in may be risking her health.
Answer:
Simply because they're leppers too!!
Meat is essential for a healthy diet, its high in protein.
It is risking her health. Eating form only one food group is very bad for you.
musnt be getting a good level or certain vitamins or minerals. its important to take supplements being a vegan like a b-12 or vitamin C
it's because NEVADA is in a frikkin` DESERT...DUH!!!
(no offense to Nevadans)
When I went on a vegan diet, my hair started falling out. It was the lack of protein. Tell her that her hair is looking thinner, it will be enough to convince her. Ladies are always concerned about their hair thinning.
I don't think red meat would really improve her skin. There are plenty of vegan lotions - buy a bottle for her.
most don't maybe you mom in law has a skin condition
Flaky, dry skin is a sign of malnutrition. Tell your mother-in-law to see a dietician that specializes in veganism. She is putting her health at risk!
It's something in the Vegan atmosphere .
tell her to use olive oil. or take flax seeds.
Because they eat crap food !!
Let it go. All vegans are nuts and going against nature. God made humans omnivorous.
Because people were never meant to be vegans. We're omnivores.
Lack of fats and oils
tofu has protein and made from beans.
did you know that the human body cannot digest red meat? it has to ROT in your intestines and stomache.
she probably needs to exfoliate her body.
sugar, liquid cleanser and massage oil , mix and rub all over the body. rinse.
Must resist ... Must resist ... O sod it.
It's the twin suns and the resulting hot climate on Vulcan.
I'll get my coat ...
ask ur self
Foxhunter, will your husband no longer eat your tube steak any more because he has decided to become a vegetarian. You really need to get a grip my friend. As for the skin tell her to rub some extra virgin olive oil on it. it is full of vitamin E.
this is making her ill do somethingplease, i cannot bear to see this poor woman suffer, ermmm on a serious note - i think that meat is an essential part of a healthy balanced diet, however if she is addament about being a veggie, go to the pharmacie and ask about nitricien tabletsa and explain your situation
take her to her doctor,
if its a medical thing they can figure it out
aslo ask about eczema, its a skin condition, having nothing to do with the foods you eat.
Vegans DON'T have dry flaky skin. Your mother-in-law does. First of all protein is overrated (some make people way too a big a deal about it) and second it's quite simple to meet the daily protein requirements in a vegan diet as long as calorie intake is adequte. It's recommended that vegans eat somewhere between 0.8 and 1 gram of protein per kilogram of their weight. According to this chart a 154 lb man and a 126 lb woman can get enough protein in one day. It would have to be adjusted depending on your weight but a little math won't hurt.
http://www.vrg.org/nutrition/protein.htm...
However vegan diets without any sort of protein supplements are not recommended for Thyroid body types. Those are the ones that are tall and thin. If your mother is one of those then she needs a higher protein intake than others and should be taking a natural plant based protein supplement and lots of Essential Fatty Acids from Flax Seed Oil, Borage Oil, and Fish Oils.
Would you like someone telling you what to eat or forcing you to eat something you didn't want to? I doubt it. What she ingests is her own business. And maybe she doesn't moisturize enough? Buy her some unrefined shea butter (www.nasabb.com) for a gift.
P.S I work for natural path nutritionist.
The truth of the matter is vegan is not a healthy diet neither is a vegetarian- we need meat in our diets-you dont get much from veggies.
"Well balanced diet" is kinda meaningless nonsense.
As to red meat being necessary for healthy skin.... have you been paying ANY attention to the answers people give you to this almost never ending stream of invective against vegans?
'Vegan' is not a sect.
If you are not interested in the answers people give you (apart from those that have the same blinkered view as yourself) I don't see what the point is in asking these questions.
Why do meateaters have such red skin?? We keep telling them that they should switch to veg.....
X
meat has nothing to to do with healthy skin. As long as you are getting enough protein your skin will not be effected. By the way you can get all the protein you need from eating nothing but potato's.
dont generalize
You seem to have an unhealthy interest in your mother in law.
What a horrible thing to say and to say publicly! Dry skin has nothing to do with being vegan or a "sect" as you call it. She just needs a more moisturisering face/body cream. My skin always gets dry when the weather changes and being vegetarian has nothing to do with it because I had it when I used to eat meat.
Firstly, vegan is not a sect! It's not a crazy cult group that has brain-washed her... it is her own choice.
Maybe she simply has eczema?
I have a vegan friend and her skin is very healthy so that debunks your theory.
Plus she won't die of corornary heart diesease like you.
More nonsense.
